The innovative mix of cross-cultural influences makes this a real conversation piece.
Materials
• stretched artist canvas 18" x 24"
• Queen Anne's lace stencil 1682-715
• Friendship stencil 1682-307
• Krylon Outdoor Spaces: Earth 1721-802
• Krylon Outdoor Spaces: Sand 1721-806
• drywall compound 1625-860
• putty knife 1630-266
• repositionable spray adhesive 2020-075
• sandpaper med-fine grit 1233-196
• painters tape 1670-739
• scrap paper for masking
Here's How
1. Spread a thin layer of drywall compound onto the canvas with a putty knife, leaving ridges for added texture, especially near edges. Let dry. Spray Krylon® Earth to the entire surface. Let dry.
2. Spray adhesive on the back of Queen Anne's lace stencil and place in position on the canvas. Spread drywall compound on the stencil with a putty knife to achieve dimension. Gently lift the stencil off the canvas. Let dry. Reposition the stencil and repeat the process. Note: stencil can be cut for smaller areas.
3. Lightly spray the entire canvas, including the stencilled area, with Krylon Earth.
4. Lightly sand selected areas of the stencil to expose the drywall compound underneath.
5. Spray adhesive on the back of the Friendship stencil and place in position on the canvas. Protect other areas from over spray with scrap paper and masking tape.
6. Spray Friendship stencil area with Krylon Sand. Let dry. Reposition the stencil and mask to spray paint more areas, as desired.
