  • 120 grit sandpaper 1233-196
  • felt pads (for polka dots) 2346-875
  • foam paint brush 1613-757/766

  • wax paper 4411-498
  • painter's tape 1670-739

Beauti-Tone Colours Used:

  • Dragonfly pot: 1207 Tangelo and green 3151 Desert Flower
  • Bee pot: blue 2046 Blue Cove and yellow 1185 Arizona Yellow

Step By Step

  1. Put a small amount of the paint you will be using on the wax paper. Dip the stencil brush into the paint and work it into the brush.
  2. Wipe off most of the paint onto the paper towel. Do a few practice runs on paper first.
  3. Place the stencil on the garden tool. If necessary, use painter's tape to hold in it place.
  4. Pounce the paint on the stencil in an up and down dabbing motion. Let dry before doin the next layer of stencil (bee, ladybug, etc.)


Tip:
Lightly sand the handles of the garden tools before painting. Give the handles two coats of paint before stenciling.
