Knotty But Nice

Tie a simple knot with 2’ of rope, and adorn each end with a chrome nut so they don’t sail away in the wind.

Materials

• 1⁄2” nylon rope (8’) 5460-707 cut to 24” (4)

• 1⁄2” nuts (8) 2147-545

• tape 3680-207

• utility knife 1119-000

• barbecue lighter 6311-076

Here’s How

Tape the rope tightly at the points to be cut off (shown 24”) and cut to length. Work the nuts onto the rope just above the tape then remove the tape and twist the nuts within 1⁄8” of the end taking care not to unravel the end. Carefully heat the end with a barbecue lighter to melt and seal the ends without charring the rope.

Napkin Tricks

Materials

• Speed Sew® 2010-433

• iron 3840-348

Here’s How

No sew napkins, now that’s my kind of magic! Simply cut beautiful fabric into 18” squares, and iron a 1⁄4” to 1⁄2” hem all around. Place Speed Sew glue under the hem and press.

Runners can be created in the same manner. Our striped runner is made from 17” wide x 6’ long fabric. Iron a 1⁄2” hem all around. Place Speed Sew glue under the hem and press.
