marshmallow wreathIT'S A MARSHMALLOW WORLD
Create this wreath of winter white hues for a tantalizing look indoors or out. Marshmallows are spongy sweets that withstand freezing temperatures.

What you'll need

  • router 1258-515 or jigsaw 1268-131
  • 1/8" MDF 16" x 16"
  • large marshmallows
  • mini marshmallows
  • white lacquer spray 1730-121
  • galvanized wire 5463-081
  • white glue 2020-510

Here's how

  1. Cut a 14" circle out of the 1/8" MDF and then cut a 6" circle from the middle to make the wreath base.
  2. Spray all sides with white lacquer and let dry. Attach a wire at the back of wreath base for hanging.
  3. Coat front of wreath base with white glue and randomly place large marshmallows to cover the base. Let dry.
  4. Dip large marshmallows in glue and randomly place over the first layer of marshmallows. Let dry.
  5. Dip mini marshmallows in glue and position throughout large marshmallows. Continue until desired effect is achieved.
  6. Attach a bow and hang.

FULL OF BEANS
Coffee beans and navy beans are the main ingredients of these contemporary wreaths.

What you'll need

  • coffee beans or navy beans
  • parchment paper 4411-292
  • galvanized wire 5463-081
  • white glue 2020-510

optional:

  • silicone Bundt pan 4061-365
  • pillar battery-operated LED wax candles 4330-453 to 455

Here's how

  1. To make the wreath pattern, draw a circle on parchment paper to the desired size of wreath. Draw a circle about half that size in the centre.
  2. Put beans in a large bowl and mix with enough white glue to cover the beans.
  3. With damp hands, mound the beans to fill the wreath pattern. Insert wire for hanging. Let dry. Add bow and hang.

Options:

  • Use a dinner plate for the large circle and a bread plate for the small circle.
  • Use a silicone Bundt pan as a mould. Fill halfway with the bean mixture. Let dry. Remove from the pan.
  • The wreaths can also be used as candle rings. Never leave lit candles unattended. Battery operated pillar candles are recommended.
