Hydraulic Cement

• Is a quick-setting hydraulic cement-based compound that immediately stops the flow of water through breaks in concrete and masonry
• Non shrinking
• Designed for stopping active water leaks through breaks in all concrete and masonry surfaces, such as basement walls or floors, tunnels, storage tanks, pools pits and cisterns MIXING:
• Add 2-1/2 parts of King plug-tite to 1 part clean water (by volume)
• Mix slowly with water until a putty-like or heavy trowelling consistency is reached
• Due to limited working time of 3-5 minutes, mix only enough material for immediate use
• Hot water will accelerate the setting time and cold water will retard it
• King plug-tite cannot be reworked after it has set APPLICATION: ACTIVE LEAKS:
• Mix until the material begins to stiffen (about 2.5-3 minutes)
• Pick up the material with a gloved hand - it should now be warm to the touch
• Force King plug-tite into the opening with the palm of the hand
• Hold in place 3-5 minutes, assuring a complete set and sufficient bond to stop the flow of water
• The patched area may be smoothed and trimmed to the surrounding area in approximately 5 minutes INACTIVE LEAKS:
• After cleaning the opening, thoroughly soak the area to be patched with clean water
• Work the mix into the opening using a knife or trowel
• Smooth the patch even with the surface
• Not recommended for use below freezing
• Cold temperatures will accelerate the setting time CURING:
• No special curing is required TECHNICAL DATA:
• Compressive Strength - 1 hour: 900 PSI - 1 day: 1500 PSI - 7 days: 2600 PSI CLEAN UP:
• Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use IMPORTANT:
• Store in a dry place
