Waterproof Masonry Coating

• Is a heavy duty coating for waterproofing and decorating all concrete, brick and masonry surfaces
• Dries to a medium white finish that can be painted with latex paint
• Suitable for both interior and exterior applications, above or below grade
• Ideal for waterproofing and sealing basement walls, foundations, swimming pools, cisterns, etc.
• Can be used to apply a decorative finish to all types of concrete and masonry surfaces PREPARATION:
• Surface to be coated must be structurally sound and clean
• Use a wire brush to remove any loose, defective or foreign matter
• Chemically remove any efflorescence, oil, or mold
• If walls have been previously painted with anything other than a cement-based paint use a scraper or wire brush and remove as much material as possible to create a good bond
• In this situation, replace at least 1/3 of the required mixing water with King concrete bonder
• This will further help the brush 'n seal mix to adhere to the original surface
• Repair all cracks and holes with King plug-tite
• Dampen walls one hour before application of brush 'n seal and allow the moisture to soak in
• Immediately prior to applications, the surface should be damp, but not dripping
• Maintain this damp surface during the entire application MIXING:
• 15kg of King brush 'n seal requires approximately 4.4L of clean water
• To facilitate mixing, put 1/2 of this water into a clean pail first, add the product, then the rest of the required water
• Mix to a pancake batter consistency and then allow the mix to set for 5 to 10 minutes
• A proper mixture should adhere to the brush without dripping APPLICATION:
• When ready to begin application, a small amount of water may be added if required to bring the mixture to batter consistency
• Stir occasionally during application
• Apply brush 'n seal with a stiff tampico fibre brush
• Scrub the mix well into
