Overview

Wood Filler

• Holds screws and nails
• Paintable and stainable
• Not recommended for repairs subject to excessive movement, expansion and contraction or immersion in water PREPARATION:
• Surface must be clean and dry; wood, filler and air temperature should be above 4'C FILLING:
• Apply with putty knife, remove excess
• Do not overspread
• Deep repairs may need 2 or more fillings
• Let dry between fillings SANDING:
• Sand after 15 minutes, deep repairs after 2-8 hours
• Avoid continuous high speed sanding FINISHING:
• Before filling - test stain with filler on scrap
• Apply water-based paint after 2 hours
• Apply oil-based stain, paint, varnish, polyurethane, shellac or water-based stain after repair dries overnight CLEAN UP:
• Wash tools and hands with water before filler dries NOTE:
• For exterior repairs, filler must be top-coated with exterior grade finish
