Wet Patch Plastic Cement

  • Is a sealer and filler for use in patching cracks and breaks in roof surfaces, firewalls, chimneys, gutters, flashing, foundation, etc.
  • It is ideal for many types of patching and maintenance repairs
  • It can also be used when pointing brickwork, repairing flashing, tacking shingles and felts, and sealing metal building seams
  • It is ideal for patching before the application of asphalt roof coatings ADVANTAGES:

  • Easy to use - apply directly from container
  • Versatile - use on damp or dry surfaces PREPARATION:
  • Remove dust, dirt and debris using stiff brush or broom
  • Remove crusted rust or scaled previous coating by scraping or wire brushing
  • On composition roofs, replace all drawn up nails with larger nails before patching
  • If roof is dried out, prime with Excel Non-Fibrated Roof and Foundation Coating before patching with this cement
  • A primer is always necessary before using this product on concrete roofs
  • Before using this coment on metal roofs, check for loose laps and re-nail them to stop vibration before applying cement APPLICATION:
  • Apply with a trowel or putty knife
  • Occasional dipping of trowel in paint thinner will reduce sticking
  • To patch holes or breaks smaller than approx. 1/16" wide, fill with this cement and smooth down edges
  • For patching large holes and breaks or joints, apply this cement to thickness of approx. 1/4" and embed into it a layer of polyester or glass membrane or cold process roll roofing
  • Apply another 1/4" thickness of this cement over the layer of material
  • Feather edge the cement around the patch
  • For easy workability in cold weather, keep this material in a heated room prior to using it COVERAGE:
  • 4kg covers approximately 7 sq.ft @ 1/4" thickness SPECIFICATION:
  • Flash point: 38'C (100'F)
  • Viscosity @ 27'C / 80'F (penetrometer):
