Overview

Wet Patch Roof Cement

  • Is a sealer and filler for use in patching cracks and breaks in roofing surfaces, firewalls, chimneys, gutters, flashing, etc., particularly in emergency situations where the stopping of a leak from a wet surface must be done
  • It is ideal for patching and roof maintenance, sealing and repairing shingle tabs, flashing, roof seams and gable joints
  • It can be used to stop leaks around vent pipes, spouts and gutters and is suitable for sealing metal building seams, foundations, masonry steps or in repointing chimneys ADVANTAGES:
  • Versatile - use on dry or damp surface
  • Waterproof - forms a tight, strong seal; stays soft and pliable
  • Easy to use - apply using a standard caulking gun PREPARATION:
  • Remove dust, dirt and debris using stiff brush or broom
  • Remove crusted rust or scaled previous coating by scraping or wire brushing APPLICATION:
  • When application is to take place at temperatures below 50'F (10'C), store it at room temperature for 24 hours prior to use in order to make gunning easier
  • Cut spout to desired bead size and puncture inner seal
  • Using a standard caulking gun, apply directly over area to be sealed
  • May be tooled with a trowel or putty knife
  • Occasionally dipped in paint thinner
  • Tools and hands should be cleaned with paint thinner or mineral spirits
  • Cannot be painted
  • Emergency repairs to wet surfaces should be considered temporary and should be redone, if needed, when weather conditions improve COVERAGE:
  • 1/4" by 1/4" bead will cover 25 lineal feet per 300ML cartridge SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Non-volatile (Fed. Test Method 141): 70% min. by weight
  • Specially processed bitumen: 30% min.

  • Drying time: 2 to 3 days
