Overview
Fibrate Aluminum Roof Coating
- Is an asphalt based coating that will seal and waterproof a variety of roof and outside wall surfaces
- It protects, insulates, decorates and preserves built up roofs, composition roofs, silos, metal roofs, siding and water towers
- It may also be used on cinder blocks as a side wall coating
- This product should not be used on tar based, dead level or gravel roofs ADVANTAGES:
- Solar protection - reflection of direct sunlight reduces the temperature of the roof membrane reducing dry out and extending life expectancy
- Reduces operating costs - reduces interior temperatures and air conditioning bills
- Waterproofs - preserves and waterproofs coated surfaces
- Durable - dries to an impermeable finish to resist weather, yet with sufficient flexibility to resist cracking and peeling PREPARATION:
- Sweep off all dust and dirt and debris
- Roof should be completely dry before applying coating
- Seriously dried out roofing felts should be primed with 6040 Non Fibrated Asphalt Roof Coating
- Repair all cracks, breaks or open seams with 6225 Fibrated Plastic Roof Cement and allow to dry before coating
- Surface must completely dry at the time of application
- Do not apply when rain appears imminent or less than four hours before surface is expected to be covered with dew RESTRICTIONS:
- Do not use on dead level asphalt, tar based or gravel roofs
- Concrete surfaces have been recently coated should be allowed to weather 90 days of warm weather before this coating is applied
- Roofs that were primed or patched with plastic roof cement should weather at least 10 days before coating to prevent streaking APPLICATION AND COVERAGE:
- Stir to ensure even consistency
- Surface to be coated my be dry
- Apply with a roof brush, squeegee or mastic type spray gun, at a rate of 6 to 8 lites per 9.3m (200 sq.ft)., 5.7 litres per 9.3m (100 sq.ft). on smooth surfaces
