IMPERIAL MANUFACTURING 16" x 48" Joist Liner - Aluminum

This Imperial Insulated Joist Liner is a high-quality sheet metal alternative for capping off a return air run. The residential return air panning standard, is made from "no noise" corrugated insulation faced with aluminum. This joist liner measures 16-inch x 48-inch, features scored lines for easy fitting between joists, and can be cut to size. The joist liner is lightweight and easy to install with staples or small nails, resulting in a tight plenum air seal when stapled as directed. The air space created provides a positive R-value of 5, and the liner is moisture-treated against dampness. Designed for ultimate safety, this fire-resistant joist header will not sustain combustion. It is performance tested to UL 723 Standard and has an ETL Class 1 fire rating with a flame spread index of 10 and a smoke index of 30. The high-quality header is an environmentally friendly choice made from recycled products.
