The Kidde 0916CAKT is a 9 V battery operated, single station smoke alarm. The 0916CAKT offers a Hush® button that temporarily silences nuisance alarms. This smoke alarm uses ionization sensing technology Ionization sensing alarms may detect invisible fire particles (associated with fast flaming fires) sooner than photoelectric alarms. Photoelectric sensing alarms may detect visible fire particles.

• Reinstall the battery making sure that hand does not touch the Hush Button, and making sure that it is not resting/pressing on a table when inserting the battery (as this will automatically press the Hush)
