A foam brush can be used with all types of paints, stains, and urethanes. Do not use this product with shellac or lacquer. It is best suited for furniture, cabinetry, trim and other smaller surfaces. Foam brushes do not leave brush marks, so it is best suited for those looking to achieve a smooth and uniform finish. Foam brushes tend to hold less paint than synthetic filament brushes, so you may have to use more coats to achieve the desired coverage. They are also a less expensive option compared to your traditional paint brush and can be washed and re-used several times before wearing out.
