Description
Basil thrives in warm temperatures, ideally between 65°F (18°C) and 85°F (29°C). It prefers daytime temperatures between 70°F (21°C) and 80°F (27°C), and slightly cooler nights around 60°F (16°C). Basil is sensitive to cold and frost, with leaves potentially turning dry and flaky if exposed to temperatures below 50°F (10°). Temperatures below 45°F (7°C) can be damaging.
