The double wall stove chimney adapter is used as a connector to join the model DSP double wall stove pipe to the sentinel chimney smoke pipe adapter; In some cases the DSP would not fit completely over the sentinel chimney smoke pipe adapter therefore it was necessary to use a double wall stove chimney adapter to make a complete connection between the two pipes; the double wall stove chimney adapter may not be needed in every application as the model DSP double wall stove pipe should now fit over the sentinel chimney smoke pipe adapter; (the installation may require a DSP universal finishing band #5543-156 to finish off the look of the connection)
