  1. Download the Chef iQ app on your phone. Follow the log-in instructions. Once your app is set up and your smart cooker is linked, search for whole chicken and gravy.

  2. Season the chicken all over with salt and pepper. Add the oil to the cooking pot.

  3. Press “START/ST0P” on the unit to start Sear/Sauté function. Heat the oil until it’s hot, about 3 minutes. Add the chicken, breast-side down, and cook until dark golden brown, about 6 minutes. Flip the chicken and brown the other side for about 6 minutes. Then, add the lemon juice, white wine, and rosemary and cook for 2 minutes.

  4. Close the lid and set it to the locked position. Set the regulator knob to “Sealed.” Press “START/ST0P” on the unit to start the Pressure Cook function. Cook the chicken for 45 minutes.

  5. Remove the lid and discard the rosemary. Transfer the chicken to a serving plate, leaving the liquid in the pot for the gravy.

  6. In a small bowl, whisk to combine the cornstarch and water.

  7. Press “START/ST0P” on the unit to start the Sear/Sauté function. Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the cooking pot while whisking. Continue whisking until bubbly and thickened, about 5 minutes.

  8. Strain the gravy through a fine-mesh strainer before serving it with the chicken.
