EXCEL Black Jack Butyl Rubber Acrylic Caulking - Grey, 300 ml

Butyl rubber caulk is an elastomer-based sealant for use on many dissimilar building surfaces. It has exceptional adhesion to common construction surfaces such as metal, glass, wood, brick, stone and paint. It is ideal for sealing narrow openings in mobile homes, skylights and application of vapour barrier. Is also recommended for joints in preserved wood foundations (PWF).

ADVANTAGES:

• Exhibits strong adhesion and flexibility over extreme temperature ranges
• Good paintability after 24 hour curing period

PREPARATION:

• Apply only to clean, dry and sound surfaces
• If old caulk is brittle or crumbling, remove it
• Use in joints no more than 3/8" should be built up to within 3/8" with suitable back-up material

RESTRICTIONS:

• Do not apply when temperature is below 4.4°C(40°F)
• Care should be taken when using product on plastic ascrazing may result
• If in question, do a small test area first

APPLICATION:

• Trim nozzle to desired bead size, puncture membrane atinner base of nozzle, and apply with standard caulking gun
• Clean tools with mineral spirits

• 25 linear feet per 300mL @ 1/4" x 1/4"
