Unfortunately, there wasn’t much left to salvage
aside from our newer light fixture, so we demoed everything else. Let’s
reflect on what it looked like.
We
started our project by heading to our local Home Hardware store and
going over some tile, bathtub and vanity options. The staff are always
so knowledgeable, and they helped us come up with a plan.
Before making any large choices, I like to envision an
overall look or vibe for the room – in this case light and airy. The
colour of hardware finishes can greatly impact the selection of products
and overall design. We went with brushed nickel on everything to keep
it cohesive with our home.
Subway tiles are a beautiful timeless option for kitchens
and bathrooms. There were a ton of great ones to choose from but
ultimately, we decided on the Urban Series White Glossy 3×6 Tile. As an
alternative, I also think 3×12’s look great, especially in a
herringbone pattern!
