Pail Prep
- Wipe the pail down with paint thinner.
- Lightly scuff the surface with fine sandpaper or a sanding sponge.
- Prime with galvanized metal primer.
- Let the creativity begin.
Pig Out
- Prepare the pail for painting.
- Glue snout on pail - we used an ABS cap (3254-784). Attach to the pail with No Nails glue. Let dry.
- Fill the gap with white acrylic caulking (2034-346). Let dry.
- Paint the pig a bright shade of pink - we used Daddy's Girl 1D3-4, Beauti-Tone Exterior Flat (1835-394). Let dry.
- Paint on a piggish face that will make you smile.
Pump-can
- Prepare the pail for painting.
- Spray pail with Rust Coat Omaha Orange (1823-018). Let dry.
- Draw on a Jack-O-Lantern face and paint black.
Optional: Paint your pails to look as good on the inside as the outside. Spray the inside with flat black spray (1720-012). Let dry. Dip the rounded end of a 4" foam roller in orange, then blot and press on the inside of the pail to create large dots to contrast with the black.
Spider-can
- Prepare the pail for painting.
- Spray inside and out with flat black spray paint (1720-012). Let dry.
- Cut eight legs approximately 9" long from foam filler rods (2030-834).
- Attach to the pail with No Nails glue. Let dry.
- Spray legs black. Let dry.
- Paint on a scary face with white paint.
