In this issue, I have the opportunity of reviewing the Milwaukee® M18 FUEL™ Cordless Self-Propelled Dual Battery Lawn Mower

Milwaukee® has upped the ante with this high-performance electric lawn mower. The dual battery configuration allows up to 60 minutes of run time on a single charge (approximately 1/2 acre of cutting capacity). Equipped with a push button start and full throttle in under 1 second (.7 second), you can start cutting nearly instantly.

Features include an optimized 21" steel deck, mulch, bag or side discharge options, single point height adjustments for adjustments between 1" and 4", in half inch increments, and a folding handle to allow for vertical storage. It also features front and side LED lights to allow for 180˚ of visibility at night. The mower is a rear-wheel-drive unit with active speed management from 0-4 mph.

A few of the advantages of this design are the high lift mode for greater airflow and increased lift, 3 handle height positions and 2 deck handles for storage. Also impressive is the throttle response, just start it up and go. Milwaukee® claims this unit has more torque than a 200cc gas mower. The quality is very good, and the unit feels very sturdy for maximum longevity. The motor is yet another Milwaukee® brushless motor.
