The differences between father and son are mostly in technology. The other day, Louie recalls, they were both on site at one of their jobs and needed to make a list of things to be done. Louie said, “Mark, you’re not taking notes? You’re not even looking at me!” Mark was taking notes on his phone, Louie realized. Whereas Louie was always a notepad and pencil type of contractor. Generational differences.
Louie is past president of the Ontario Home Builders’ Association. He’s also past president of the Sudbury and District Home Builders’ Association. He knows that the future of the industry is in good hands with all of the talented builders we have in Canada.
