In this issue, I have the opportunity of reviewing the Milwaukee® M18 FUEL™ 18 Gauge Brad Nailer Kit

Milwaukee® Tool has come up with a compact, lightweight, and versatile Brad Nailer. Being cordless it naturally eliminates the need for a compressor and the inherent use of an air hose. Its portability is quite frankly liberating. I tested this tool in a number of woods, including a nasty old piece of maple and it came through with flying colours.

Some of the features of this brad nailer include a tool free depth setting adjustment that sets depth from proud to completely sunk quickly using a thumb wheel adjustment. The resulting brad holes are clean and precise. The ramp up between shots is absolutely minimal (quoted at 0.05 seconds). The M18 FUEL™ brad nailer features Milwaukee’s POWERSTATE™ Brushless Motor with REDLINK PLUS™ intelligence. The sealed compressed nitrogen brad driver eliminates the need for gas cartridges that most of the competition in this range uses thus completely eliminating the cost and maintenance of those.
