PRO Tool Review: MILWAUKEE® M12™ 6-1/2" Cable Stapler (2448-20) & 1" Insulated Cable Staples (MNM1-600)

In this issue, I have the opportunity of reviewing a MILWAUKEE® M12 Cable Stapler & 1” Insulated Cable Staples

Features include an LED work light, a dry fire lockout, 1 or 2 finger trigger, moveable cable guides, a staple viewing window and a battery fuel gauge. A reversible belt hook is standard on this tool. The magazine capacity holds 45 staples. A fully charged M12^TM battery can fire as many as 1,200 staples. A coiled spring mechanism consistently sinks staples to the appropriate depth. The unit is quite compact at only 11.6" for lots of room between studs.

In testing I used spruce studs to fasten the wire. I tested it on an oak board just for fun and it worked quite well but needed a tap with the hammer to drive it home. While I didn't have a large rough-in project on the go I will say being able to hold wire with one hand and staple with the other makes rough-in work smoother and much faster. This is an excellent tool!

Competitively priced and built to last, I definitely give this Milwaukee® M12^TM Cable Stapler my TINTO recommendation (Tools I Need To Own).
