In this issue, I have the opportunity of reviewing a Milwaukee® M18 FUEL™ 6-1/2" Plunge Track Saw Kit

Milwaukee's® wonderful durability and the fit and finish are proudly on display with the Milwaukee® M18 FUEL™ 6-1/2" Plunge Track Saw. Right out of the box you will want to get to work with this beauty. The tool is designed for the professional carpenter or remodeler. It is able to cut hardwood up to 2-1/4" thick with power to spare from Milwaukee's® POWERSTATE™ Brushless Motor combined with a REDLITHIUM® high output XC6.0 18V Battery Pack. The motor has a variable speed dial so you can adjust rotation speed for your particular application.

The saw itself has a myriad of adjustments built in. Everything from plunge depth, bevel angles, ultra fine adjustments for track placement and depth as well as lockout controls for the saw. The saw comes with a dust bag which is very good at retaining over 90% of saw dust and the port is compatible with 1-7/8" vacuum hoses as well. Blade changes are easily done with the onboard allen wrench. The unit is fitted with Milwaukee® spec blades designed specifically for this saw (The unit tested came with a finishing blade 6.5" x 40 tooth).
