SIGN OF TRUE LOVE

A simple-to-create sign is a lovable way to remember and celebrate the endearing meaning behind Valentine’s Day all year long.

Here's How

• Decide what size you would like your sign to be. Pictured signs are roughly 1/2” x 1’ x 5’ and we used 1/2” x 4”x 8’ pine.

• Cut boards to the chosen length and glue them together to the desired height (and thickness if the wood was actually ½ depth). Hold together using pipe clamps.

• Once completely dry, sand or scrape off excess glue and sand rough edges.

• Paint the main area of the sign and allow to dry completely before the next step. For the white sign we used Beauti-Tone White Dew FD065-0 for the body and Caitlyn A13-5-1418-0 for the saying. For the dark rich blue sign we used Beauti-Tone Dark Sky Preserves NPC10-3 for the body and White Dew FD065-0 for the saying.

• Print your desired sayings on paper in the font of your choice and then use carbon transfer or graphite paper to trace their outlines onto your sign.

• Use paint and an artist brush to finish your sayings.

• Once dried, sand to achieve a rustic farmhouse look.

• Print your desired sayings on paper in the font of your choice and then use carbon transfer or graphite paper to trace their outlines onto your painted blocks.

• Use paint and an artist brush to finish your sayings.

• Once dried, sand the blocks to achieve a rustic farmhouse look.
