Recycling is an important aspect of living a green life. Make sure you have the right recycle bin for curbside pick up, otherwise it may not be collected. You should have two recycle bins on hand to properly sort your recyclables. One for paper products and one for plastic and aluminum. Properly sorting your materials ensures all recycling ends up where it needs to go. Many recycling bins are colour coded, so you can easily separate materials.

For added convenience, look for both indoor and outdoor recycle bins. This way you don't have to keep going to the garage or backyard to dispose of your recycling. For areas that get extra windy, look for outdoor recycle bins with lids to help keep items contained. For larger families, choose a tall recycle bin so you have plenty of room to store your used containers and papers. If you live in a condo or apartment, look for stackable recycle bins that you can store indoors without taking up much space.
