The RS-2 Roof Sentry automatically energizes roof de-icing cables when roof snow/ice melting conditions exist. Energy consumption and costs are minimized by using the RS-2 because it measures both temperature and moisture conditions and turns the system on or off in response to changing weather conditions. The Roof Sentry comes pre-assembled, which means a quick and easy install and is recommended for use with EasyHeat ADKS kits.

HOW IT WORKS

• Connected to the Sentinel Roof De-Icing Cable, the Roof Sentry automatically turns on the heating cable to prevent build-up of snow and ice
• The electronic sensor sits in the eavestrough where it detects sub-zero temperatures and moisture
• Together, these conditions can cause ice build-up on shingles, in eavestroughs and downspouts, resulting in costly roof repairs
• Once plugged in, the Roof Sentry automatically switches the heating cable on or off as required
• Operating costs are minimal and it helps save energy dollars
