Got You Pegged!
Modular coat racks allow you to rearrange the position and quantity of pegs as your needs change.What You'll Need
- Use either 3/4" or 1/2" doweling and end caps
- doweling: 3/4" 2624-457/465; 1/2" 2624-455
- copper end tube caps: 3/4" 2340-219; 1/2" 3240-200
- Forstner bit, to match dowel size 3/4" 1213-813; 1/2" 1213-797
- 8/4 12" pine cut to desired length of coat rack
- sand block fine/medium 1061-406
- stain or paint in desired colour
(shown Minwax Ipswich Pine 1872-290) - large sawtooth picture hangers 2352-689
- Cut board to desired length. Sand all surfaces.
- Measure and mar
k the centre placement of the holes. Drill holes with a Forstner bit.
- Stain or paint the board.
- Cut doweling into 6", 4", and 3" lengths.
- Place copper end tube caps on pegs. NOTE: I experienced a bit of variance between the pegs and the caps so a bit of sanding may be required.
- Arrange the longer pegs in the holes at the top of the board and the shorter pegs at the bottom.
- Attach a sawtooth picture hanger at both ends of the rack, and hang.

- 8/4 pine, cut to desired width and length for shelf
- Beauti-Tone paint in desired colour
- single keyhole hangers 2129-527
- 4" dock cleats (2 per shelf) 6633-333
- rope, cut to length 5461-715
Here's How
- Cut shelf to desired size. Sand all surfaces.
- Paint using desired Beauti-Tone colour.
- Countersink the keyhole hangers at both ends of the shelf.
- Mark and drill holes on each corner of the shelf, large enough to slip the rope through.
- Attach cleats at desired height on the wall.
- Thread the rope through the back holes of the shelf and knot off. Wrap the rope around the cleats and pull the rope through the front holes on the shelf, and knot off.

- Cut shelf to desired size. Sand all surfaces.
- Paint using desired Beauti-Tone colour.
- Attach the cleat to the centre front of the shelf.
- Countersink the keyhole hangers to the back of shelf, and hang.
