Brantford Home Hardware has been a staple in the community since 1974. Between 2004 and 2008 a major remerchandising took place and an additional 4,000 square feet of retail space was built to create a plumbing and bathroom renovation destination. In 2012 Brantford Home Hardware was chosen out of 1,100 stores to be the recipient of the Walter J. Hachborn Store of the Year Award. Shortly after, in 2013, Brantford won the Hardlines Outstanding Retailer Award for Best Hardware Store in Canada. As well, Brantford has been awarded the Proud of My Home award 12 years in a row and counting.
