We have been involved in the Tree Canada partnership since 2017. Local schools and organizations reach out to us continuously for planting opportunities. It is so special to see people of all ages working together to plant trees in our community for everyone to enjoy.

My wife and four of our grandchildren joined us for last year’s tree plant. We planted trees in Last Mountain Regional Park, right next to the boat launch where we spend a lot of time fishing. My grandkids loved being involved in planting the trees, although I think their favourite part was the community barbecue we held afterwards! Now, every time my grandkids go fishing there they can point to those trees by the lake and say, “I planted that tree”.
