Canadian Home Builders' Association

Features, Advantages and Benefits of Being a CHBA Member

Impact. Canadian Home Builders' Association (CHBA) operates at 3 levels; local, provincial and national. By joining your local Home Builders' Association you are connected to over 8500 other members in the residential construction industry from coast to coast. CHBA members account for over 80% of the $120 billion/year construction and renovation industry and support over 845,000 jobs. CHBA works on issues that are important to you and your business - whether they are local, provincial or national.

Connection. Local Home Builders' Associations host dinner meetings, social and business events, involve members in discussion of important issues, and provide a host of business-oriented volunteer opportunities. This will help you network, build business relationships, gain valuable contacts and get referrals. Through the Association, you can access expert advice, marketing campaigns, demonstration projects and award programs.

Recognition. The CHBA logo and name are well recognized. Take advantage of this to help build your company's brand as an industry professional. Put a project forward every year for one or more of the local, provincial or national marketing and design awards and advertise this to build consumer awareness and gain recognition for your company.

Results. It pays to be a member. "Call a Member First" and "Advantage" Programs are common in local Home Builders' Associations. You are not alone when dealing with local issues like development fees, provincial issues like Building Codes or national issues like taxes. Go to the meetings, discuss your concerns with others in your industry, and take action together. Working together, we get results.
