Have Fun All Winter Long with Family and Friends

Winter activities are great fun for the whole family. They're also an excellent way to stay fit through the frosty weather. Find a frozen pond and strap on the blades for a skate, or break out the sticks for some shinny. You can even build your very own outdoor rink for some family games of hockey. Hit the local hills for sledding, tobogganing and snow tubing, or get extreme with some winter fat biking on snowy trails. Snowshoeing is a great group or family activity, just make sure to bring lots of water to stay hydrated. Winter fun isn't just for weekends either. You can bundle everyone up after dinner for a leisurely winter walk around the neighbourhood. 

Some days it's just too cold for outdoor games. Puzzles and board games are favourite winter family activities, and can keep everyone occupied for hours. Little ones can stay entertained with kids crafts, building sets, ride-ons and other kids toys. You can also bake up some warm treats and goodies. If you still feel the itch to get active, some simple indoor exercise equipment will do the trick.
