St. Jacobs, ON, January 10, 2018 - Home Hardware has ranked first for best in-store shopping experience under the Hardware category for retailing, according to a recent study compiled by Leger, which surveyed 20,000 Ontario residents.

Leger has revealed top retailers in Canada under the Customer Experience Index. Home Hardware ranked first with the top index of 73.1 with the lowest scoring competitive index at 52.

Leger polled 400 recent customers over the age of 15, with results distributed to ensure representation in age, gender and region. Respondents were also surveyed on different elements of their retail experience including price, product selection, staff service, store layout and personalization options. Information collected was then used to determine each retailer's index rating.

The top retailers in hardware, department store, home décor and convenience categories had an index ranging between 73 and 51.
